Jen Pawol will umpire during spring training for the third straight year but the major leagues' first woman umpire did not get one of the permanent staff openings. Tom Hanahan and Brian Walsh were promoted Friday to replace Mark Carlson and Phil Cuzzi, who are retiring. Carlson will become an umpire supervisor.
