Women’s junior flyweight boxer Isis Sio is in a medically induced coma after suffering a brutal knockout at the hands of Jocelyn Camarillo in the first round of a fight on Saturday, March 21 in San Bernardino, California.
Sio, 19, was knocked unconscious in the opening bout of ProBoxTV’s card after taking multiple hits to the head. Medical staff attended to Sio at the scene and she was seen convulsing in the ring, according to ESPN. She is being treated in the intensive care unit of Loma Linda University Health medical center.
