Rent prices continue to surge in some markets. However, affordable options still exist in certain parts of the country, with some units going for under $1,000, according to a recent report from Zillow. In Zillow's recent analysis, published Thursday, apartments under $1,000 a month, while scarce, are easier to find in parts of the South and Midwest. Thirteen metros have more than one-third of apartments renting for less than $1,000 per month.However, that's out of 100 metros, equating to about 13% of the metros tracked by Zillow for the report.
