Darron Lee, a former New York Jets first-round draft pick, will remain in jail after being accused of allegedly killing his girlfriend and attempting to tamper with evidence.
Lee, 31, was denied bond at a court hearing on Wednesday, February 11, and may face the death penalty after being brought into custody late last week on charges related to the murder of 29-year-old Gabriella Perpétuo on February 5.
Perpétuo was found dead by police responding to a report of CPR in progress at a residence in Ooltewah, Tennessee.
